Google Applied Digital Skills Grades 6-8

Do you want to be GSuite certified and earn a digital badge from Google for resumes, college applications, and bragging rights? Google Applied Digital Skills is an online curriculum that can be accessed by individual learners or used in a classroom setting. Project-based units help students practice basic digital skills using Google's G Suite for Education applications (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.). Students watch step-by-step video tutorials, pausing to complete activities. Lesson activities range from creating a budget spreadsheet to planning a trip to conducting research and writing a report. Some coding concepts are also integrated into the curriculum, such as programming a script to look for overused words. At the end of the course, students have the option to take the GSuite Ceritfication Exam.

Pre-Requisite: This class is for competent students motivated to complete the Google Certification Program. Any student who chooses to take the certification exam will be required to pay an additional 135QR at a later stage ( $37 USD.)
