Welcome to the Neighbourhood! Grades K-2 (British Year 1-3)

How can we help new friends get to know our community? Welcome to the neighborhood will explore the diverse ecosystem of the desert while creating a guide for new people to Qatar. Students will create a newcomer’s guide to important places in the broader community. After creating a map of the community, students create maps that document a different geographic feature (e.g., places to play, places to be in nature, places to shop). Students will also write and illustrate brief descriptions of their favourite places to be included in the guide.

Pre-Requisite: This class is for creative students. Students must be able to work and follow directions independently.

Duration: 2 Weeks

Session 2 Start Date: July 19

Frequency: 3 Days/ Week (Mon, Tues, Thurs)

Live Session Timing: 9:00-10:00am
