Explore all that MIA has to offer from your own home! Using Ibn Battuta as our inspiration, children will be taken on a tour of our Google Art page and decide what they would need to take on a journey of exploration, then they will explore and finish the day with an art activity challenging them to develop their skills.

MIA Creative Campers Grades 6-8
Join MIA staff for a look at the beautiful and intricate world of Islamic art. You'll be lead through a virtual tour on our Google Art site looking at key objects and learning more about Islamic art principles; then, create geometric art, identify floral decorations and join our library team to look at manuscripts, books and calligraphy.

MIA STEM Campers Grades 9-12
MIA is bursting at the seams with STEM offerings and activities. After a 'tour' of scientific objects on our website and Google Art project, you'll be guided through activities based on the science objects in our collection and finish with an astrolabe activity (the iPhone of the medieval world).
